RICHMOND - Locals can help plan Richmond's future as a
more pedestrian- and bike-friendly place next month.
The following workshops and activities are scheduled as
the city embarks on assembling a Pedestrian Plan and a Bicycle
Master Plan:
- Community kickoff meeting: 6 to 8 p.m., May 12, Richmond
Recreation Complex, 3230 Macdonald Ave.
- Bicycle planning
workshop: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 15, 440 Civic Center Plaza,
multipurpose room
- Walkable design workshop 1: 5 to 8 p.m.,
May 19, Nevin Community Center, 598 Nevin Ave.
- Walkable
design workshop 2: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 22, Coronado
Elementary School, 2001 Virginia Ave.
- Closing workshop:
6 to 8 p.m., May 27, Richmond Recreation Complex, 3230
Macdonald Ave.
